Farmers Market Forms

In year 5, our Downtown strolling market was launched to function as an economic development tool and a community gathering place in order to promote locally grown and handmade products, highlight downtown Ortonville, and encourage visitors to patronize nearby businesses. Our goals are to:

  • Make fresh produce available to residents because there are limited choices in the area.
  • Artisans hand-made goods and crafts now available to residents seeking unique home and office products.
  • Create additional opportunities for people to come and enjoy downtown on a regular basis, thus fostering a sense of community and improved quality of life.
  • Combine this with other events and entertainment for all ages in an attempt to keep people downtown, discovering our businesses, and spending their money locally.
