Creates a positive image of the downtown to instill community pride and encourage commercial activity and investment in the area. Promotions such as advertising, retail and special events, marketing and social media campaigns can be used to communicate the unique characteristics of a downtown to residents and visitors — sparking interest in shopping, dining, living or investing and creating a business in the community.

2022 Launch Priorities

  • Evaluate 2021 unfinished projects and priortize for 2022
    • Follow through on Brand Design (In conjunction with Design)
    • Build campaigns around our brand that engage all stakeholders
    • Use new Brand to generate revenue
    • Develop 12-Month Communication/Marketing Plan (In conjunction with Org)
  • Utilize our brand in deision-making and planning
  • Continue to determine & adjust the DDA's role in downtown events
  • Evaluate how to serve as a resource to other organizations
  • Evaluate how to enhance/improve downtown events
  • Develop opportunities for DDA sponsors and contributors
  • Maintain OrtonvilleDDA.org website
